Emma Wong
Emma Wong is a 17-year-old writer based in the Bay Area. Currently a senior in high school, she is passionate about the art of storytelling and enjoys investigating the inner workings of poetry. Her work, which has been recognized by the Alliance for Young Writers and Artists, centers around the gradient of identity and home. When she isn’t writing, you can find Emma running on the trails with her cross-country team, cooking a meal, or playing with her two cats, Mochi and Olive. Find her @emmabwong on Instagram!

Nikki Bevacqua
Nikki Bevacqua is a 17-year-old writer from the Bay Area. Taking inspiration from the natural world in combination with her own experiences, she loves to write poetry and dabbles in short fiction pieces—occasionally submitting her work to online contests or school-wide publications. Other than writing, Nikki loves to read historical and science fiction novels from her local library. She splits her free time between cross country or swim practice, homework, reading the odd book and keeping up with her New York Times Games streaks.

Kaia Bonham
Kaia Bonham is a writer and high school junior from the Bay Area. Enamored with the beauty of language and prose, her writing often explores the human experience and reflects the intricacies of emotion through fictionalized stories. She has worked with fellow aspiring writers from all over the country and loves working with others to push the boundaries of literary expression. Kaia is also known to be found happily buried in a stack of books, crocheting, or enjoying a sunny day in the pool!

Alana Jardine
Alana Jardine is a 16 year old high school junior and aspiring writer from the Bay Area. With a passion for nonfiction, she finds inspiration for her writing through personal stories and real-life experiences. When she isn’t lost in a good memoir, you’ll often find her running with her cross country team, where she commits many hours of training and racing each week. She is diligent with her schoolwork, but Alana makes time for early morning Peet’s runs, spending time with her two cats, Tika and Prima, and going out with friends, striving to find balance in her life.

Charlie Rivera-Gu
Charlie Rivera-Gu is a 15-year-old writer from the Bay Area. In her free time, she likes to debate with herself and others on various topics. She enjoys reading fanfiction, listening to true crime, and deciphering old poems. Every so often, she likes to write short poems and prose about her daily observations. When she’s not in school, you can find her playing tennis or accumulating fancy words for her vocabulary list.

Nikki Yeo
Nikki Yeo is a 16-year-old in the Bay Area. As she goes through the stress of junior year or daily life, she likes to sort out her thoughts in the form of poetry or prose. She’s always looking for poets that pop up on her Instagram page, debaters in YouTube videos, and improv comedians on both platforms to help and inspire her writing. During her spare time, you’d definitely find Nikki sipping a matcha latte as she crochets while watching her shows or hanging out with her cats Alley and Leopard and her dog Charlie.

June Oh
June Oh is a poet and screenwriter from Los Angeles, California. She discovered her love for creative writing at the age of six and has since allowed it to become her guiding light. Her work has been recognized by Cultural Daily, Bitter Melon Review, and LA Student Film Awards, among others. In her free time, she volunteers at dog rescues and enjoys dancing like nobody’s watching.

Noah is a high school senior from Rhode Island. He loves to write poetry and read classic, contemporary, and literary fiction. He loves the poetry of Richard Siken and Mary Oliver, and his favorite author is James Baldwin. Noah loves to listen to and play folk music. He is planning on pursuing a career in agriculture, and loves plants, animals, and the outdoors. He is also an editor for Cherry Noise Magazine.
